Calling Live

How calling works in Landing Zone — outbound click-to-call that bridges your own phone, inbound forwarding with voicemail, and compliance checks on every call.

Calling in Landing Zone is person-to-person. Outbound calls bridge your own phone to the contact, and inbound calls to your Landing Zone numbers forward to you — there is no machine dialing on your behalf.

How it works

Outbound: click-to-call

Start a call from a contact and Landing Zone bridges your phone to the contact's number — you talk, the platform connects the two legs. Every outbound call is compliance-gated before it connects: quiet hours and DNC/suppression checks apply, so suppressed and screened-out numbers cannot be dialed. See the click-to-call guide for the walkthrough.

Inbound: forwarding and voicemail

Calls to your Landing Zone numbers forward to your routing number. Missed calls capture voicemail, and you are notified so nothing sits unheard.

After the call

Every call lands in the call log. Record a disposition to capture the outcome, and create follow-up tasks so the next touch is not lost — the history stays attached to the contact.

No automatic dialing

Landing Zone does not do predictive or automatic dialing. A person initiates every outbound call, one contact at a time. This is deliberate: it keeps a human decision in front of every conversation.

When to use it

Call when a conversation deserves a voice — a warm reply from an SMS or email batch, a returned voicemail, or a contact whose situation is too nuanced for text. Because outbound calls run through the same suppression and quiet-hour gates as messaging, you can dial from the same contact records you message.

Limitations

  • There is no predictive dialer, auto-dialer, or list-dialing mode — and none is planned as a workaround. Each call is started manually.
  • Quiet hours and suppression block calls, but these gates are product controls, not a legal determination. Who you call, when, and why remain your responsibility — see calling considerations.
  • Ringless voicemail is not available. It is planned as a separate channel — see ringless voicemail for its status.

Frequently asked questions

Can Landing Zone dial a list for me?

No. Outbound calling is click-to-call only — you start each call yourself, and the platform bridges your phone to the contact.

What happens when I miss an inbound call?

The call captures a voicemail and you are notified, so you can listen and call back from the contact's record.
