Receive inbound calls Live
Forward calls from your Landing Zone numbers to your routing number, capture voicemail on missed calls, and stay notified.
When a contact calls one of your Landing Zone phone numbers back, the call forwards to your routing number — the real phone where you want to answer. If you miss the call, voicemail captures the message and you get a notification, so a returned call never disappears.
Before you start
- At least one provisioned Landing Zone phone number — see Configure calling.
- The phone number you want inbound calls forwarded to (your routing number).
Steps
- Open Settings → Phone numbers. This is where your Landing Zone numbers and forwarding are managed.
- Set your routing number. This is the phone that rings when someone calls any of your Landing Zone numbers.
- Confirm forwarding works. Call one of your Landing Zone numbers and check that your routing number rings.
- Answer inbound calls on your routing phone. Contacts dial the Landing Zone number they saw; you answer on your own phone.
- Check voicemail for missed calls. When you can't answer, the missed call captures a voicemail.
- Watch your notifications. Landing Zone notifies you about inbound call activity so you can respond while the lead is warm.
- Follow up from the contact record. Open the contact in Contacts and return the call with click-to-call, or reply by text or email from Inboxes.
Limitations
- Inbound calls are answered on your routing phone, not inside the app — Landing Zone forwards the call rather than answering it in the browser.
- All Landing Zone numbers forward to the routing number you set in Settings → Phone numbers; keep it current when your team's answering phone changes.
- If calls are not arriving, see Calling issues.
