Verify email addresses Live
Check addresses with Verify — domain and MX checks always, mailbox-level where enabled — before an email batch.
Email verification checks that an address is valid and likely deliverable before you send to it. Verifying first keeps your bounce rate down and protects your ability to land in inboxes.
Before you start
- Email contacts in your workspace.
- Credits: email verification costs 1 credit per 10 addresses. See How credits work.
Steps
- Open Verify. Go to Intelligence → Verify in the Landing Zone app.
- Select the email addresses to check. Choose the contacts or addresses you want verified.
- Review the cost and confirm. Verification costs 1 credit per bundle of 10 addresses, shown in the app before you confirm.
- Run verification. Every address gets domain and MX checks; mailbox-level verification runs where it is enabled.
- Review the results. Fix obvious typos (for example, gmial.com) rather than discarding the contact, and set aside or remove addresses that cannot receive mail.
- Clean the list before you send. A verified list means fewer bounces on your next send — see Create an email batch.
Limitations
- Mailbox-level verification is not available for every address. Where the mailbox cannot be checked, results rely on the domain and MX checks.
- Verification reduces bounces by catching bad addresses, but inbox placement also depends on your content, sending history, and the recipient's mailbox.
- Addresses go stale over time — re-check older lists before a large send.
Frequently asked questions
What does email verification cost?
1 credit per 10 addresses, shown before you confirm.
Does verification guarantee my email is delivered?
No. It reduces bounces by catching bad addresses, but delivery and inbox placement also depend on your content, sending history, and the recipient's mailbox.
Why verify before a batch instead of after?
Bounces from a bad list hurt your sender reputation on the send itself. Verifying first keeps those addresses out of the batch entirely.
