Click-to-call turns any contact record or conversation into a starting point for a phone call. Instead of dialing manually, you click once — Landing Zone rings your phone first, then bridges you to the contact and logs the call automatically.

Before you start

  • Calling configured for your workspace — see Configure calling.
  • A phone you can answer nearby: the bridge connects through your own phone.

Steps

  1. Find the click-to-call control. It appears on a contact's record in Contacts and within conversations in Inboxes, so you can call from wherever you are already working.
  2. Click to start the call. Landing Zone first checks the compliance gates — quiet hours and DNC/suppression — and blocks the call if the contact should not be called right now.
  3. Answer your own phone first. The platform calls your phone; when you pick up, it bridges you to the contact by dialing their number.
  4. Have the conversation. Once the contact answers, the two of you are connected on a normal phone call.
  5. Set a disposition when the call ends. Every call is logged with dispositions so you can record the outcome and keep the contact's outreach history accurate.
  6. Capture the follow-up. Add a note on the contact record while the conversation is fresh, so your next touch — call, email, or text — has context.

Limitations

  • Click-to-call places one call at a time, initiated by you. There is no auto-dialing or predictive dialing.
  • Calls to contacts inside quiet hours or on your suppression list are blocked — the compliance gates run before every call.
  • The bridge uses your own phone, so you need to be able to answer it when the call starts.

Frequently asked questions

Why does my own phone ring when I start a call?

That's the bridge working as designed. Landing Zone connects your phone first, then dials the contact and joins the two calls.

Is the call recorded in Landing Zone?

Every call is logged with dispositions so you have a record of who was called and what the outcome was.
