Click-to-call Live
How Landing Zone's click-to-call bridge works — your phone rings first, then Landing Zone connects you to the contact.
Click-to-call is how you place outbound calls in Landing Zone. You start a call from a contact record, your own phone rings first, and when you answer, Landing Zone bridges the call through to the contact. You talk on your own device; Landing Zone handles the connection, the compliance checks, and the record-keeping.
Reach for a call when a live conversation will move things faster than a message thread — a warm reply, a negotiation, anything with back-and-forth. SMS and email are better suited to first-touch outreach at scale; a call is where you spend attention on one person at a time.
Setup requirements
- A Landing Zone phone number. Provision one in Settings → Phone numbers — it's the number your call is placed from.
- Your own phone. The bridge rings you first, so you need a phone you can answer when you start a call. See configure calling.
Capabilities
- The bridge flow. Start the call from the contact record, answer your ringing phone, and you're connected to the contact.
- Compliance gating before dialing. Quiet hours and DNC/suppression screening run before the call is placed; blocked calls don't go out.
- Logging. Every call lands in the call log, and you record a disposition so the outcome is visible on the contact's outreach history — useful when you review replies across channels later.
For the step-by-step walkthrough, see the click-to-call guide.
Rules and risks
A live call is the most personal touch Landing Zone offers, and it lands in real time — there is no unsend. Quiet hours (9 PM to 8 AM in the contact's local time by default) are enforced, and each call is screened against your workspace suppression list and imported DNC data before dialing. That screening does not include a live federal DNC registry query, so the lists you import matter.
Because every click-to-call is a deliberate, human-initiated action, the judgment behind each call — who you're calling, why, and on what consent basis — is yours. Read calling considerations first.
Current status
Click-to-call is live in Landing Zone.
Limitations
- One call at a time — there is no queueing, predictive dialing, or auto-dialing.
- You must answer the bridge on your own phone before the contact's side is dialed.
- Calls blocked by quiet hours or suppression screening are not placed.
