Calling Live
An overview of calling in Landing Zone — outbound click-to-call and inbound calls that forward from your Landing Zone numbers to your phone.
Calling in Landing Zone works in two directions. Outbound, you place calls one at a time with click-to-call — see outbound calling for the full posture. Inbound, calls to your Landing Zone numbers forward to your phone — see inbound calling. This page is the overview of both.
Setup requirements
- Provision phone numbers. Go to Settings → Phone numbers to set up the Landing Zone numbers you'll call from and receive calls on.
- Set your routing number. Inbound calls to your Landing Zone numbers forward to your routing number — the phone where you actually answer.
Capabilities
- Click-to-call. Place an outbound call from a contact record; Landing Zone bridges your phone to the contact.
- Inbound forwarding. Calls to your Landing Zone numbers forward to your routing number, so you answer on your own phone.
- Voicemail capture. Missed inbound calls capture voicemail, and you're notified.
- Call log and dispositions. Calls are logged, and you record a disposition so the outcome lives on the contact's history.
Rules and risks
Calls are compliance-gated before they're placed. Quiet hours — 9 PM to 8 AM in the contact's local time by default — are enforced for calls, and each call is screened against your workspace suppression list and imported DNC data, with known-litigator hits suppressed. Note the screening scope: Landing Zone does not query the live federal DNC registry.
Landing Zone has no predictive, auto, or blast dialing — every outbound call is a single, human-initiated action. That posture reduces volume-driven risk, but it doesn't make any particular call lawful: the audience, timing, and consent basis are yours to get right. Read calling considerations before you start dialing.
Current status
Both directions of calling are live in Landing Zone.
Limitations
- Outbound calls are one at a time only; no predictive, auto, or blast dialing exists.
- DNC screening covers your suppression list and imported DNC data — not a live federal registry query.
- Voicemail is captured on missed inbound calls; ringless voicemail is a separate, coming-soon channel and is not available.
