Platform terminology
The core Landing Zone terms you will meet in the app and across these docs.
These are the terms Landing Zone uses everywhere — in the app, in these docs, and in the send-time checks that decide who gets contacted. Skim them once and the rest of the documentation reads much faster.
Core terms
- Workspace — the account created when you sign up. It holds your contacts, phone numbers, batches, templates, and billing; all data is scoped to it. See create a workspace.
- Intelligence — the discovery toolset: Property Search, Advanced Instant Lookup, Skip Trace, DNC & Litigator Scrub, and Verify. See Intelligence.
- Credits — the currency for Intelligence actions such as lookups and skip traces. Sending email or SMS does not use credits. See understand credits.
- List — a named group of contacts, usually created by an import or an Intelligence result.
- Batch — a single send run for one channel: draft, preview, then approve and start. See batches.
- Campaign — the outreach effort a batch belongs to. Landing Zone tracks stats per campaign and will not text the same contact twice within one campaign.
- Template — a reusable email or SMS message with merge fields and spin syntax for message variants. See templates.
- Unified inbox — per-number SMS inboxes and per-account email inboxes in one screen. See unified inbox.
- Skip trace — looking up phone numbers and emails for an owner or contact; 1 credit per successful match. See skip tracing.
- Scrub (screening) — the DNC & Litigator Scrub, which checks contacts against your workspace suppression list and imported DNC and litigator data. See review screening results.
- Suppression — the workspace list of contacts excluded from outreach, with a recorded reason such as STOP, complaint, imported DNC data, or litigator match. See suppression lists.
- Consent — the recorded permission status for SMS and calls on each contact: UNVERIFIED, VERIFIED, or REVOKED, with proof of source and date. See consent and contact permissions.
- Quiet hours — the window when SMS and calls are not sent, in each contact's local time; the default is 9 PM–8 AM. See quiet hours.
- Opt-out — a STOP or similar reply. The contact is suppressed, consent is set to REVOKED, and a confirmation is sent. See opt-outs and STOP keywords.
- Line type — the classification from phone verification: MOBILE, LANDLINE, VOIP, or UNKNOWN, plus carrier. Batch eligibility uses it. See phone types.
