Pre-send acknowledgments
The warnings Landing Zone shows before higher-risk sends, what acknowledging them means, and what is planned for cold SMS and ringless voicemail.
For higher-risk outreach, Landing Zone puts a warning between you and the send and requires you to actively acknowledge it. The system warns — and records your acknowledgment — but allows you to proceed. The judgment stays yours.
Acknowledgments in the app today
- Import opt-in acknowledgment. Before an imported list can be used, you must confirm the audience's opt-in basis, including an acknowledgment that you have a lawful basis to contact the recipients and that your sender registration obligations are met. The source, date, and details you provide are recorded. See Consent records.
- Unverified-numbers confirmation. If an SMS batch includes numbers whose line type has not been verified, the app asks you to confirm before sending ("Send to unverified numbers?"), warning about costs and failed deliveries. Your acceptance is timestamped on the batch.
Planned: channel-specific responsibility acknowledgments
For cold SMS and, when it launches, ringless voicemail, Landing Zone is standardizing a stronger acknowledgment that will appear before:
- sending an individual communication,
- approving a batch, and
- activating an automation that could send the communication.
The warning will require an affirmative acknowledgment along the lines of:
"I confirm that I am responsible for the audience, consent, content, timing, and legal basis for this outreach."
Each channel gets its own warning text — an SMS warning is not reused unchanged for email, direct mail, or calling, because the risks and rules differ by channel. This page will be updated as these acknowledgments roll out.
What acknowledging a warning means — and does not mean
Acknowledging a pre-send warning records that you saw the risk and chose to proceed. It is not approval by Landing Zone, it is not a compliance finding, and it does not replace legal review of your audience, content, or use case. If a warning gives you pause, stop and run through How to review a campaign before sending — or ask your counsel — before proceeding.
